Field trip in Breb village, heart of the Maramures Action Lab area, Romania (February 2018). The project team is surveying the willingness of farmers to apply good agricultural practices that contribute to better water quality in the area.
Village Breb (385 households), one of the 4 villages of the Ocna Sugatag commune, is one of the most well preserved villages from the Maramureş area, a good example of traditional agricultural setting where families have their own piece of land, a few animals and often an orchard.Here one can still find traditional wooden houses and gates along tiny stony roads, famous local artisans bringing wood to life, as well as a fairy tale landscape with mountains, orchards and pastures.
